GLORIA Program of Science and Technology Ministry has been advocating and promoting international industry-academia collaboration. By great efforts of NTHU GLORIA teams in previous years, fruitful results are achieved. 2019 NTHU GLORIA International Industry-Academia Collaboration Forum plus NTHU GLORIA membership signing ceremony is held at Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu. With NTHU President HOCHENG Hong’s witness, signing of 7 NTHU GLORIA membership contracts with Logitech, Inventec, Accton, Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University and others are conducted. Total number of members reaches up to 20, after this ceremony.
Over 180 distinguished guests and VIPs from industry, government, academia and NTHU GLORIA partners are present. Professor CHIEN Chen-Fu of NTHU and Professor CHANG Gee-Kung from Georgia Institute of Technology present two excellent lectures respectively of Practical Cases of Industry 3.5 and Smart Manufacturing, and Grand Challenges of 5G Technology.
Moreover, on the day, there are two symposiums — Challenges and Ways Out for Taiwanese Industries upon Impact of the US-China Trade War, and Innovation power of NTHU’s partner schools, which provide more diversified experience from industry and academia to enrich industry-academia collaboration value.
