Seminar entitled “Taiwanese Entrepreneurs in Central and South America — Experiences, Opportunities and Challenges”
Central and South America is an emerging market with great growth potential. Taiwan has signed Free Trade Agreements (FTA) or Economic Cooperation Agreements (ECA) with Panama, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Paraguay, Belize and other countries, which helps promoting bilateral trade and investment. In recent few decades, Taiwanese entrepreneurs have become mainstay of local society, economy and even public sphere, allowing the whole world, particularly the Central and South America, to know Taiwanese strength and resilience.
In order to learn from the pioneer Taiwanese entrepreneurs, Overseas Community Affairs Council and National Tsing Hua University jointly hold a seminar entitled “Taiwanese entrepreneurs in Central and South America — Experiences, Opportunities and Challenges”. Representatives from all walks of life familiar with Central and South America were invited to share their stories. We expect these stories will be nutrients to grow Taiwanese trade and investment in Central and South America.
